For the 6th time, Bermuda is honored to host the Tall Ships! If you’ll be visiting in May or June, set aside a day or two to enjoy these beautiful vessels!
About Tall Ships Bermuda:
This year’s Rendez-vous Tall Ship Regatta is a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Canadian Confederation. More than 2 dozen ships will compete in a 7,000-mile journey that will take them to 6 countries. Happily for us, they are making a stop in Bermuda! In honor of these sportsman, a Tall Ships Festival is planned that will include dozens of activities.
The ships will first arrive in St. George’s. The town’s Welcome Festival includes:
- Art Walk
- Cultural Day
- Cricket Match
- Beach Day
- Fort Festival
On June 1st, the ships will be on beautiful display as the Parade of Sail makes it way from St. George’s to Hamilton where the ships will dock for the remainder of their stay in Bermuda. The Parade of Sail is an exciting chance to see these ships in all their glory, and the event will draw thousands of spectators.
The Hamilton Host Port Festival includes just as many fun activities and events as the one in St. George’s.
- Street Festival
- Crew Parade
- Public Street Festival
While berthed in Hamilton, the ships will be open for tours. This is a unique chance to board these majestic vessels and get a sense of the skill required to navigate the boats over thousands of miles. The Bermuda Event wraps up with a final Parade of Sail on June 5th as the Tall Ships depart.
